Mandatory Continuing Education (MCE)

MCE Requirements:

• Licensees must complete 15 hours of MCE courses including 3 hours of legal and 3 hours of ethics.
• MCE must be taken every 2 years after SAE requirements are satisfied.
  • If you finished your SAE prior to September 1st, 2010 then you will need to meet the MCE requirements during your first year after SAE requirements are satisfied.

Per TREC Rules, online-correspondence courses not completed before the end of the month your license expires will be considered late and the licensee will be subject to late fees and penalties. All MCE class credit will be reported to TREC the next business day after completion.

TREC's New Online Renewal System - All renewals should be done online through the Texas Real Estate Commission's new online registration system. You can register and renew through their "My License" system at any time. Visit the "My License" System
